Kasungu Inn is situated at the far end of Kasungu Town in a quiet park just off the M1 road almost midway between Lilongwe and Mzuzu. The Inn has twenty bedrooms all en suite with TVs (DSTV) in some. All rooms overlook well tended gardens. The professionally run Inn offers excellent single and double accommodation to travellers who would like to have a taste of the Malawi way of life. It is the favourite stopover for travellers wishing to see Kamuzu Academy, Chiwengo Village and Kasungu National Park, the tourist attractions in the area. The Inn can host seminars, meetings and workshops for up to 100 people. Our restaurant, which is open throughout the day, offers delicious meals at reasonable prices. The Inn has a bar offering local and imported drinks, snooker and has a television set available for guests entertainment. |

Joe's Motel is located at Mchinji Boma, 106 kilometres from Lilongwe on a very good tarred road and 35 kilometres from the Zambian town of Chipata. It is, therefore, a very good rendezvous place for people living in the border areas of both countries. The Motel has 19 self contained rooms, 2 bars with TV and a restaurestaurant that can seat 24 people at a time. There are also 2 conference rooms, the smaller of which can seat 40 people whilst the larger has capacity for 80 people. Eqipment includes screens, flip charts and a video recorder. Work is underway to provide TVs in all rooms in the near future. The room and meal rates are very reasonable and offer value for money. The Proprietor, Joe Chilemba, is an experienced hotelier, having run many of the country's top hotels before going into his own business. |

Luwawa Forest Lodge is located in the Viphya Mountains in northern Malawi, a pleasant and malaria free climate, at 5,500ft above sea level. It is only 8 kilometres east of the main M1 road in the Luwawa Forest Reserve. Access is by means of a good all weather dirt road only 3 hours from Lilongwe. The Lodge is ideally situated in the beautiful and tranquil Luwawa Valley overlooking Luwawa Dam which is well stocked with a variety of fish including chambo and black bass. Fishing in season is permitted. Bed and breakfast or full board is available and payment is by cash or travellers cheques. Camping is available. Luwawa is renowned for its variety of colourful birdlife and bushbuck are frequently seen. The comfortable and spacious family accommodation, full catering and bar facilities make it an ideal place for a family holiday. Activities on offer are squash, table tennis, sailing, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, rock climbing, abseiling, trail walking, birding, orienteering, forest fitness courses, etc. Equipment for most of the activities and instructors are available for hire. Guided walks into very remote areas, rides and drives and night drives of a duration to suit your requirements can also be arranged. |
